Logan residents warned to be vigilant as two new COVID-19 cases are revealed

South East Queensland has recorded another two new local cases of COVID-19 linked to the latest Brisbane cluster but officials are still hopeful the Sunshine State has avoided a major outbreak.

The cases are students from Sir Thomas More College in Sunnybank. 

Dr Jeannette YoungChief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young says there are some exposure sites linked to those cases but the students are in home quarantine and she’s confident the cluster is under control.

She says, as a result , restrictions for hospitals and aged care and disability facilities in Brisbane and Logan City have been lifted.

14,506 tests were conducted across Queensland in the last 24 hours.
