A backyard barbeque went awry in the Scenic Rim overnight with a man ending up in hospital.
He sustained facial burns when gas ignited from a barbeque at a private residence in Beaudesert.
The incident happened just before 7 o’clock Monday night.
Paramedics were called to the home where they administered first aid, before taking the man to Logan Hospital for further treatment.
At last report, the patient was said to be in a stable condition.
