While in Canberra for the Parliamentary sitting week, Beaudesert MP Scott Buchholz tested positive to COVID-19, his office has confirmed.
“Earlier yesterday (Wednesday) I received my test results confirming I was positive to COVID-19, after taking a PCR test,” Mr Buchholz says.
“I’m now doing what millions of other Aussies have had to do, I am isolating, and following ACT guidelines.”
Mr Buchholz, who is double vaccinated with AstraZeneca, says he is experiencing cold-like symptoms at this stage and has made the Parliamentary Service aware of his COVID positive status as it is his workplace, as per the ACT guidelines.
