Beaudesert to say goodbye to Target

  • Scott Mayman is an award-winning radio presenter and journalist who has worked professionally in both Australia and in the United States and is also a Correspondent for CBS News Radio in New York.

As Target shuts its doors to dozens of townships and communities,  it’s been revealed the Beaudesert store is also set to close this year.

Nearly 300 Target stores across Australia are set to disappear in the wake of last year’s poor business result in which sales slumped by $67-million.

55 of those Target stores will be re-branded into K-Mart or KHubs (Small neighbourhood stores)

Management says,  while the shops physical footprint will shrink,  its online business would still be available 24 hours a day.

The Beaudesert Target is due to be shut by mid 2021.
