An economic boost may be in store for Logan City, with South-East Queensland winning the Olympics bid for the 2032 Games.

President of the Logan City Regional Chamber of Commerce Chyerl Pridham said whether events are hosted in Logan, or just nearby in Brisbane and the Scenic Rim, local businesses will reap the tourism benefits.

“I  think it’s a very positive thing because we will have international tourists coming to our area,” Ms Pridham said.

“We will see some growth in those businesses, we’ll see some new jobs, and hopefully some expansion.”
