Child stealing case in court

  • Scott Mayman is an award-winning radio presenter and journalist who has worked professionally in both Australia and in the United States and is also a Correspondent for CBS News Radio in New York.

A 25 year old Darling Downs woman is due to appear in a Logan City court today, charged with child stealing.

Police allege,  the Glenvale woman took an 18-month-old boy on Thursday from his Toowoomba home, sparking an Amber Alert.

The child was later found safe and well on Thursday night in Logan City.

The woman has been charged with child stealing, burglary, break and enter, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and failure to comply with an order.

She’s due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
