A Beenleigh woman has been granted bail to re-appear in court later this month over the assault of a police officer and obstruction of his duties.
Police say the incident occurred on Tuesday when she was being taken to the police station after officers discovered there was a warrant for her arrest.
It’s alleged, she grabbed the officer’s crotch and spat on him.
In the Beenleigh Magistrates court, the woman denied she spat on the officer.
She was then ordered to provide samples for a disease test order.
The woman was granted bail and the case adjourned for two weeks.
