Councillor Laurie Koranski unites the Yarrabilba community to fight against cancer

As the Patron of Yarrabilba’s 2021 Relay For Life,  Councillor Laurie Koranski has been a loyal supporter of Cancer Council Queensland for many years, and this year she is sharing her passion for fundraising with her community.

Laurie is honoured to be named the Patron of Relay this year and thrilled to welcome everyone to San Damiano College to raise vital funds for Cancer Council Queensland’s research, support and prevention.

“I got to know Laurie Koranski through her involvement in our annual fundraising campaigns for Cancer Council,” says local resident Nola. “We are so grateful to have such a caring and empathetic person taking care of our local community.”

You can join Laurie and the Yarrabilba community at the 2021 Yarrabilba Relay For Life on Saturday October 23, 2pm – 9pm at San Damiano College.

Cancer Council Queensland CEO Ms Chris McMillan says the charity was incredibly proud to have Laurie onboard as the Patron of the 2021 Yarrabilba Relay For Life.

“The Yarrabilba community is inspirational in their commitment to raising awareness and supporting their locals affected by cancer – and this is what Relay For Life is all about,” Ms McMillan says.

“Together, we are stronger than cancer – join Yarrabilba Relay For Life today.”
