Logan and Scenic Rim exhibitors have been dealt a blow, with the cancellation of the Beenleigh Show for the second year in a row.
The show was set down for the 11th of next month and would have been the 143rd in the event’s history.
Show Society President Darryl Plummer said the uncertainty caused by the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the event.
Mr Plummer said, “The Show Society is again devastated by the cancellation of the event following the cancellation of the same event last year for similar reasons. We know we are one of many having to make this unfortunate decision and hope our many supporters understand the reasons behind this decision. We look forward to your support next year when we all hope the world is a safer place”.
The show attracts exhibitors from Logan and the Scenic Rim, as well as the Gold Coast and further afield.
Mr Plummer had two new events lined up this year to attract a younger demographic back to the show.
A street art section and a high school aged exhibitors category were planned.
