Firefighters have saved several animals from a rural Tamborine home, that was gutted by a fierce fire this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a house fire at Chianina Court, Tamborine, just before 12pm.
On arrival, crews found the dwelling fully engulfed by flames.
A living quarter’s structure located adjacent to the dwelling burned down, while the house was significantly damaged.
All people were accounted for, as the tenants and firefighters rescued a number of animals from the blaze.
RSPCA were called to the scene to assist with the evacuation of animals.
As there’s no urban water supply in the area, over ten trucks were called to the scene to fight the fire.
Three firefighters hosed down the fire, as several trucks relayed water from nearby pools and dams.
The fire caused surrounding homes to lose power.
Firefighters battled the fire for several hours, before putting it out.
The Queensland Police Service has declared the property a crime scene.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
