Scenic Rim residents are being encouraged to Get Savvy and tap into the wealth of information at Council’s free health and wellbeing expos across the region next month.
The events will be held at Tamborine Mountain, Boonah and Beaudesert and will include dozens of stallholders offering free giveaways and information for all ages on local organisations, community services and health and wellbeing.
Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen says “Get Savvy” offers something for everyone at every stage in life.
“From our savvy seniors to parents of pre-schoolers, there will be an abundance of information on diet and nutrition, how to stay fit and well, and the range of services offered by community organisations and private health providers.”
“With our ageing population, aged care is increasingly a concern for many in our community and care providers and allied services will be well represented at the Get Savvy expos.”
“There’s also an opportunity for anyone new to the region or looking for a new pastime to connect with one of the many community organisations or clubs which will be among stallholders attending the expo.”
The Get Savvy events will be held on the following dates at these locations:
- Tamborine Mountain Library Thursday 5 May 10am-12 noon
- Boonah Cultural Centre Tuesday 10 May 10am-12 noon
- Beaudesert Library Thursday 12 May 10am-12 noon.
