Golfing world record challenger Mick McLoughlin is heading on a tour of regional Queensland this month, to tee off with superstars and locals in Chinchilla.
Brisbane businessman and philanthropist Mick McLoughlin will play more than 2,000 golf holes in seven days in November at the Wynnum Golf Club in the hopes of breaking a world record and to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland.
“The world title is one challenge, raising $250,000 for RMHC SEQ is the other,” he says. “They go together, and I’m calling on Queensland businesses and individuals who can, to dig deep and come on board. Supporters can donate as little or as much, or they can bid to come out on the course during the challenge, buy a ball and more.”
But before he takes on the world record, Chinchilla locals will get a chance to see Mick when he heads to regional Queensland – the home of so many families that rely on Ronald McDonald House in Brisbane – to tee off and is calling on local golfing enthusiasts to join him.
With support from stars like AFL and Brisbane Lions great Daniel Merrett and NRL and Broncos legends Sam Thaiday, Gorden Tallis, Daly Cherry Evans and Australian cyclist Robbie McEwen, Mick will travel to Chinchilla and Toowoomba with a RMHC SEQ presence, supporting seriously ill children and their families.
Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland provides essential accommodation and support services to seriously ill children and their families who require treatment at specialist facilities in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
So, whether you’re a golfing fan, a supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities, or someone keen to watch Mick take on a world record, come along and support him, meet him or tee off.
