Rapid antigen tests continue to be a rare commodity across Logan and the Scenic Rim, as local stockists sell out as supply becomes available.
Local stockists, such as pharmacies and supermarkets, have been overwhelmed by calls from residents enquiring about RAT availability.
It is expected that stock will be limited for some time, due to supply chain issues.
It comes as concession card holders are now able to access RATs for free.
Concession card holders can get up to 10 free RATs over a three month period, with a maximum of five in a month.
The free RATs can be collected from a participating community pharmacy.
The Federal Government, which has recently secured additional RAT stock, has promoted RAT kits as an alternative to traditional PCR testing sites, which have become overwhelmed in recent weeks.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 in Logan and the Scenic Rim in the last 24 hours has dropped, but Queensland has still recorded another 11,600 new cases and 15 deaths.
