Logan City drivers urged to watch out for koalas

In case you haven’t noticed all the signs around the place, it’s koala breeding season and Logan City residents are being asked to be careful on the roads to avoid hitting them.

The cute marsupials are especially vulnerable between July and January because that’s when they move around the most.

Animal experts say the spring and summer time are when koalas are the most active, which is why we often see them crossing roads and sometimes climbing trees in our backyards at this time of year.

The advice to motorists is to be on the lookout for koalas, particularly around dusk.
