The member for Woodridge is calling on the Federal Government to replace Jobkeeper with another assistance package
Cameron Dick has used Twitter to make the call, saying Canberra has failed to support vulnerable Victorian workers during their current lockdown.
Victoria is enduring its fourth lockdown in more than a year. Workers say they feel abandoned as the pandemic drags on.
As reported earlier by My News Feed, he’s ot the only politician to warn that job keeper should have been extended.
Mr Dick says they’ve previously raised concerns on numerous occasions that there should be targeted support to replace jobkeeper.
His comment comes after the Woodridge MP, earlier this year, talked up Queensland’s economy saying more than 50,000 jobs were created.
“That’s both jobseekers getting a full-time job AND part-time and casual employees who have now taken up full-time work”, he stated in February.
