Some Logan City homes are experiencing dirty brown water – however, Council says the water is clean, even if it looks off.
Work has begun to flush and disinfect the city’s water pipes, resulting in the discoloured water.
Anyone who witnesses brown water coming out of their taps is being encouraged to contact Council.
The works began late Thursday but there’s expected to be a residual effect across the weekend.
However more complaints are expected over the next few months as work continues on flushing an disinfecting pipes in other parts of the city.
Council maintains the water is completely safe, but there could be a slight change to the taste and colour of the water.
