Motorists are being warned to watch out around schools, as students prepare to return to classrooms across Logan City and the Scenic Rim.
Police will be “Out In Force” today as term one for 2021 begins.
Based on last year’s figures, more than 17,000 motorists were caught speeding in school zones – including bus and truck drivers.
The worst violation from last year saw a driver speeding at three times the 40km an hour speed limit in a school zone.
