Man in court over siege

A 42 year old man has appeared in the Toowoomba Magistrates court following a weekend siege in Darling Heights.

The drama began on Saturday night when a man barricaded himself inside his home.

Police say the siege lasted nearly six hours before he gave himself up.

The man appeared in court yesterday and was remanded in custody for another court appearance on a date to be set.
