It’s down to business today for Logan and Scenic Rim candidates who were re-elected in Saturday’s Federal Election.
Rankin M.P Dr Jim Chalmers is already in Canberra and will be sworn in as Treasurer in the Labor Government at nine o’clock this morning.
He says he’ll be honouring all the promises he made to Logan residents during his election campaign.
Meanwhile, Coalition MP for Forde Bert van Manen is getting used to his new position in the Federal Opposition after he was re-elected to serve Logan and the northern Gold Coast for the next three years and so is Scott Buchholz following another win after voters across the Scenic Rim and Jimboomba re-elected him in the seat of Wright.
