Police release a video of drugs and firearms raid

Police have released a bodycam video of one of the raids they conducted last Friday as part of Operation Tango Cloud.

After the raid on the Boronia Heights home a 24-year old man was charged with possession of shortened firearms, unlawful possession of weapons and possessing dangerous drugs.

 He’s expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 2.

Twelve other people were charged on over forty drug and firearm related offences connected with their ongoing investigation into the trafficking of dangerous and prescription drugs into correctional centres and firearms offences within the Logan District.

The arrests followed raids on properties across Logan, Brisbane, Redland Bay, Ipswich and the Sunshine Coast.

During the raids, quantities of methylamphetamine, MDMA, GHB, cannabis, buprenorphine, cash and six firearms were located and seized.

Others arrested include a 25-year old Marsden woman, charged with trafficking in dangerous drugs into a correctional facility. She will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on the 8th of next month.

A 34-year old Waterford woman was charged with supplying dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of firearms. She is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 4.
