The Scenic Rim Regional Council has opened nominations for its 2021 Australia Day awards.
Mayor Greg Christensen says Council normally opens the nominations process about this time of the year to get people thinking about it early.
Cr Christensen says the idea is to recognise the efforts of people who continually make a difference in the community.
“This year’s awards were focused on people’s efforts during the devastating bushfires at the beginning of the year, while next year’s will be all about what has been done to cope with COVID-19,” he said.
