Hundreds of homes are in the dark across the Scenic Rim this morning as a result of the wild weather lashing the region.
238 homes are still without power on Tamborine Mountain, but at the height of the outage, around 1,500 homes were in the dark.
Other properties across the Scenic Rim have also experienced issues this morning.
The wild weather is the likely cause of the power issues, but Energex is yet to specify exactly what’s gone wrong.
Technicians are working to repair the supply to at least 60 streets this morning.
The Weather Bureau says the rain will hang around for the day.
