Logan Village man dies in vehicle crash

A Logan Village man has died after an accident on the Gold Coast on Easter Sunday night.

Police say the 55-year-old was killed when his Mazda ute left the road and hit a tree before rolling several times on Boowaggan Road, Merrimac.

The accident happened just before 9.30

Police and paramedics were called, but the man, the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for motorists who may have witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage to contact them as Forensic Crash Unit investigations continue.

It was one of many accidents which happened across the region over Easter.

One person went to Logan Hospital after an accident at Park Ridge on Thursday night.

Paramedics, including the High Acuity Response Unit treated the man for chest and neck pain.

And one person was taken to Logan Hospital after an accident on Wembley Road at Logan Central on Easter Sunday night. The accident happened just before 7.30
