The Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 17-year-old boy died after a single vehicle crash at Cedar Creek overnight.
Around 1:45am a member of the community alerted police and emergency services to a car in bushland off Quinzeh Creek Road.
Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle was travelling in a north-westerly direction when it veered off road and crashed into a wooden power pole.
The teenager died at the scene.
And five people, including a little girl and a teenage girl, are in two different hospitals after a three vehicle crash at the intersection of Amber Crescent and Camp Cable Road in Logan Village just after 8 last night.
Paramedics transported the youngest of the two girls to Logan Hospital in a stable condition with a lower leg injury.The girl in her late teens also sustained a leg injury and was taken to the same hospital.
The three other people injured in the smash were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
That included a man in his 60’s who was in a serious but stable condition after sustaining an abdominal injury, a woman in her 40’s with arm, abdominal and leg injuries and a man in his 20’s with head, chest and hip pain.
And another patient is in the P.A. in a stable condition with shoulder and neck pain after a two-vehicle collision on Drews Road and Wandilla Crescent in Loganholme at six this morning.
