The RACQ is advising commuters about major travel disruptions over the Christmas and New Year period as part of Brisbane’s Cross River Rail construction project.
The 10-day track closures will include changes to Queensland Rail services on the Beenleigh, and Gold Coast rail lines from tomorrow until the 3rd of January.
RACQ spokeswoman Kate Leonard-Jones says the timing was chosen to minimise the impact on commuters .
On weekends and public holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, trains on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines will run express to Roma Street station from Moorooka and Altandi respectively.
