Cedar Creek crane driver dies in motorway accident

A 63-year-old Cedar Creek man has died after an all-terrain Grove crane crashed at Helensvale last night.

Early investigations indicate that around 8.30 , the man was driving the crane south on the Pacific Motorway when it rolled near exit 62.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is carrying out the investigation.
