South East Queensland is again under a fresh cloud with residents urged to get tested if they have been to any of the exposure sites or if they develop any symptoms.
Some of the areas of concern are south of Logan City including Helensvale at the Westfield Shopping Centre, Saturday July 19th and the previous Monday July 12th.
Pacific Fair just last Saturday July 24th and the Parkwood Goodstart Early Learning Centre.
The full list of exposure sites can be found on the Queensland Government website.
The warning follows details that a Covid Postive man travelled from Sydney to Ballina and onwards to the Gold Coast and further up through Logan City to Brisbane.
Queensland’s Chief Health officer Doctor Jeannette Young says the 14th of July is a while ago now but people could have been out and about and come into contact with this person and become infected.
“So the risk across all of Queensland stands.”
Acting Premier Steven Miles says the case highlighted the need for everyone to remain vigilant against any further spread of COVID.
“We may well expect more [contact-tracing locations] in the coming days.
“The wearing of masks continues to be incredibly important, and we’d urge everyone to pay attention to the alerts that Queensland Health issues.”
