Flood warnings have been issued for rivers throughout Logan and the Scenic Rim, following severe thunderstorms across both regions.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, moderate flooding is possible at the Maclean Bridge overnight into Friday, while renewed rises to minor levels possible from Thursday evening along the Albert River.
It follows torrential rain overnight, with totals of 20 to 80 mm associated with thunderstorm activity recorded across the catchments.
The rainfall has caused renewed river level rises and flooding throughout the catchments, with rapid rises in the upper parts of the catchments.
Further rainfall and thunderstorm activity is forecast during Thursday, which may prolong river level rises.
Weather Bureau Senior Meteorologist Laura Boekel says the weather is extremely dangerous.
The rainfall has hampered clean-up efforts across Logan, following recent floods.
Police say no one should be driving in these conditions.
