River levels in Logan and the Scenic Rim are rising as heavy rainfall continues across both regions.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, minor flooding is expected along the Albert River at Wolffdene this morning and may reach a moderate level this afternoon. Minor flooding is also expected to affect Beaudesert today.
So far widespread moderate to heavy rainfall totals of 30-150 millimetres have been recorded across the Logan and Albert catchments, with an isolated heavier fall of 200 millimetres at Carbrook yesterday morning.
The Logan River at Beaudesert is currently below a minor level of 5.07 metres and rising. it’s expected to exceed the minor flood level of 5.50 metres this morning. A minor flood peak is likely this afternoon.
