International developer postpones Tamborine Mountain application for nature cabins

A pair of international developers from China have postponed their bid to build nature cabins on Tamborine Mountain.

Eastern Asia Investment Party Ltd have announced that they will not be registering any further documents in relation to their proposed development project on Young St.

The proposal would see 10 nature cabins at 36 Young St, south of the Tamborine Mountain town centre.

The Scenic Rim Regional Council announced the update on the development yesterday.

“The applicant has requested to ‘stop the current period’ of decision making for a proposed development of a nature-based tourism accommodation site at Tamborine Mountain.

“The determination of this application can only recommence once the stop period has ceased and as such it may be presented for decision at a future Ordinary Meeting.
