Scenic Rim’s ‘In Consideration Of Trees’ 3-day immersive exhibition on this weekend

Panelists for In Consideration of Trees

Scenic Rim’s Tamborine Mountain is set to host an immersive exhibition over 3 days this weekend.

The event – In Consideration Of Trees – will be presented by Artsworker and contemporary visual artist Bronwyn Davies, and supported by the Making Good Alliance.

‘In Consideration of Trees’ presents over 40 original landscape artworks by Bronwyn focusing on the importance of Trees, and will be on exhibition at the Centre for Regenerative Arts on Tamborine Mountain the 13th and 14th November between 9am and 5pm.

‘In Consideration of Trees’ is a voice for the forest,” Bronwyn says. “It’s a conversation we have to have, as individuals, as communities and organisations. The arts have a way of connecting the dots, of having impacts in ways we might otherwise not have engaged with.

‘As an artist and arts worker I feel I have a responsibility to comment on important issues through my work, whether that is a painting or an event.

“As well as showing my work, I have invited a number of pretty amazing people to share in a series of forums/panels and discussions that will show many facets of the importance of trees to our environment.”

A percentage of all artworks sales will go to Tamborine Mountain Landcare to continue their mission to protect the natural heritage values by maintaining and enhancing the environment and its biodiversity.

Set at the Centre for Regenerative Arts on Tamborine Mountain, all events over the weekend are free, however registration is recommended, and donations to National Parks, Callanthe Collective, Tamborine Mountain Landcare are encouraged.
