There’s growing momentum for the establishment of a PCYC in Beaudesert,
Scenic Rim MP JON KRAUSE says it was great to see a huge turn out at a recent meeting in support of such a club for the region…
“This Beaudesert (region) has various needs that a PCYC could really meet”.
Mr Krause has given 3 examples of reasons why such a club is needed.
“ONE: From a social point of view, some of the programs the PCYC runs are really needed in our community to support our children.
“TWO: From a sporting point of view, there are numerous sporting clubs, such as the Beaudesert Boxing Club that’s producing champion boxers and could really use a public indoor sporting facility.
“THREE: From a community point of view, at times of disaster we need a great facility, well decked out with communications to support our men and women on the front line to help in disasters and other events”.
The proposed establishment of a PCYC has the full support of the Beaudesert Chamber of Commerce as well as representatives of the Beaudesert State High School. There’ve also been letters of support from local business operators.
