Very dangerous thunderstorms are on the cards again Tuesday in Logan City.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast giant hailstones could hit the region as La Nina sets in for a summer of dangerous storms.

The storms are most likely to pick up through the afternoon.

It follows that wild weather on Sunday which resulted in power losses and a big clean-up.

An Energex spokesperson says thunderstorms are not unusual at this time of year and repair crews are on standby ready to be called out at a moment’s notice.
