Police want witnesses to a Daisy Hill armed robbery to contact them

Police have released a picture of a man and stolen ute as part of their investigation into the armed robbery of a teenage boy at Daisy Hill last Wednesday.

Around 2.10pm, three men went to a home on Tulip Street in a stolen white ute.

It had been stolen from an Eagleby address around 8am that morning.

One of the men approached the 17-year-old male occupant and asked if the bricks outside his house were for sale. The boy instructed the man to come back in an hour to speak with his parents and returned inside.

The boy then heard noises in the garage and after investigating, saw the man stealing his father’s 2009 blue Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle.

The man then pushed the boy against the wall and held a knife to his throat and demanded the keys to the motorcycle.

The boy said that he didn’t have the keys, before kicking the man in the chest and running into the house to call police.

The men then dragged the motorcycle to the ute and loaded it into the tray, where one man held it down.

The trio then fled in the ute northbound on Tulip Street.

The boy wasn’t injured during the incident.

The main offender is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, 178cm tall, aged in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing an ‘LA Raiders’ baseball cap, grey tracksuit pants and a short-sleeved black shirt at the time. He has a distinctive tribal tattoo covering the top of his right arm and is believed to be left-handed.

Police are now appealing to anyone with information in relation to this offence or the identities of the three men, to come forward.
