Seriously injured man airlifted to hospital after falling from ladder

Toowoomba’s LifeFlight helicopter has flown a man to hospital, after he fell from a ladder, yesterday afternoon.

The rescue chopper was sent to a private property, in the Toowoomba region, around 1:15pm.

The man, aged in his 60s, had been standing on a ladder, working on the roof at his home, when he fell approximately two metres.

Paramedics initially treated the patient, before the aeromedical team arrived.

Police officers were able to close the road outside the property, so the LifeFlight pilot could land the chopper as close to the scene, as possible.

The patient was treated for suspected head and spinal injuries, before being flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital , in a serious but stable condition.
