A small number of students at Beenleigh State High School have been suspended for using pen-like vaping devices in the school toilets.

A school source has confirmed the suspensions of the students happened late last week and any student who is found with one of the devices at school will be suspended and the device confiscated.

Under State Government legislation al schools are smoke-free zones and that applies to cigarettes and electronic cigarettes or vapes.
