The heavy rain which has been falling across the Logan City and Scenic Rim region has finally backed off.
The Bureau of Meteorology said the system, which had dumped hundreds of millimetres of rain across the region in the past few days, will continue to track south-westwards into New South Wales and weaken during Tuesday.
However, forecasters said the local minor flood warnings that were issued for the Logan and Albert Rivers on Monday, will stay in place at least for the time being.
