Logan drivers urged to secure car number plates

  • Brian Lowe is an experienced journalist with a background in both broadcast and digital media. He has worked in both Australia and the United States, has hosted podcasts and has reported on a wide range of issues during his career.

Logan district police want as many people in the community as possible to properly secure their vehicle’s registration plates, by obtaining “Safe PL8 Packs” containing anti-theft screws.

Anti-theft screws are a special type of “one way” screw which, when used to attach your registration plate to your vehicle, can only be removed with a specially designed tool.

This special tool can only be used by police officers.

Any Logan resident is encouraged to order an anti-theft screw pack via a simple online form at https://mypolice.qld.gov.au/logan/2020/03/05/logan-residents-able-to-order-anti-theft-screws-online/

Having anti-theft screws attached to your vehicle saves you the inconvenience of having to order and pay for a replacement, and possible fees relating to tolls, fuel drive offs etc.
