Police have released an image of a woman as part of the investigation into the robbery of a Browns Plains sporting-goods store in September last year.
At around 9.30am on the 18 September., a woman attended the Grand Plaza Drive store, where she picked out $1,600 worth of clothing and placed the items into her bag.
Around 10.20am the woman attempted to leave the store without paying, when the 25-year-old manager confronted her, removing the stolen clothing from the woman’s bag before she verbally abused him, removed her high-heels and repeatedly hit the man’s left wrist, spitting in his face.
The man managed to retrieve approximately $700 worth of clothing before letting go of the bag and the woman fled with approximately $900 worth of clothing.
The man sustained minor injuries to his left wrist.
The woman is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 170cm tall, slim build and 18-19 years of age.
Queensland Police are urging anyone who may recognise this woman to come forward.
