Teenage boy facing 40 charges for his alleged crimes

A 16-year-old boy is facing 40 charges following investigations by Ipswich detectives into a series of alleged property offences through Ipswich, Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast.

Police allege the youth burgled houses, broke into businesses, stole cars, damaged property and committed fraud in Redbank Plains, Collingwood Park, Flagstone, Mount Warren Park, Beaudesert, Corinda, Oxley, Everton Park, St Lucia and Greenbank between September 22 and October 14.

The teenager was apprehended in Logan last Friday and charged with 15 counts of break and enter, three burglaries, five counts of unlicensed driving, 10 wilful damage offences, three tainted property charges and two counts each of fraud and learner driving unaccompanied.

He’s been denied bail to reappear in Beenleigh Children’s Court.
